AND THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS THAT!
We promised you a party to remember, and that's exactly what we had! OK, it rained and then it rained some more. But no amount of the wet stuff could dampen the spirits of all those lovely people who came down to join in the fun.
Everyone agreed the music was probably the best Pontardawe has ever seen, from Kila on Friday through to Transglobal Underground on Sunday night, and all the other 100+ performers in between.
A huge thank you to everyone who came and made alkl the hard work so worthwhile. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

YOU SAY THE NICEST THINGS...
Posted by dhw on Saturday, September 06 @ 12:26:16 BST (2 reads)
A quick note to everyone to thank you for the nice things you've said over the past few weeks. Here's a small selection:
"Thanks for another great festival and to all the many folk that made
it possible! Despite the rain and mud and subsequent reduction in
stalls it was great, the music was brilliant!
Thank you for all the help and friendliness of the stewards on site, despite the awful
weather they had to work in.They were always helpful and courteous."
Just wanted to say thanks for a well-organised weekend...Brilliant music, good quality food and cheap beer! Can't be bad."

News: FOND FAREWELLS
Posted by dhw on Friday, August 22 @ 09:10:39 BST (44 reads)
Now that the dust (mud) has settled on our weekend celebrations, it is time to say goodbye to two stalkwarts of the festival.
Ruth Exell Stevenson has decided to hang up her bodhran and Emyr Morris has logged off.
If it was not for their dedication to the festival, and their determination to ensure that it succeeds, there would no longer be a Pontardawe Festival. So we are going to miss them very much.
We wish them both well in the future and look forward to welcoming them back as treasured guests in the future. Their successors have a lot to live up to.

WASTE NOT, WANT NOT
Posted by dhw on Tuesday, July 22 @ 15:37:08 BST (85 reads)
This year's festival promises to be greener than ever, thanks to help from the local probation service.
Teams of youngsters have signed up to keep the festival grounds tidy and free from litter throughout the weekend.
We have increased the amount of recycled waste at festival from under 25% five years ago to almost 80% last year, and this year are looking forward to doing even better.
In addition, Wales' premier organisation promoting sustainable development will be running a series of events to increase people's awareness of the issues surrounding the waste we create.
